The greatest saint of the 20th century sacred personality a guide of Islam,
Shariah having the deep knowledge is practice of Shariah, Tariqah
(sufism),designated for khalafat of sufism , the successor of Hazrat Hafiz
Abdul Karim (R.A) of Eidghah sharif Rawalpindi,Pakistan.
For the education of novices (Murids);-
Hazrat Qibla Aalam Khawaja Pir Hakim Mohammad Shafi-ud-din
Alvi,Mohammadi,Naqshbandi, Mujaddadi, (d-1978 R.A)
Born on the day of Monday,1890. (It was the month of Rabi-ul-awal),at
Uggubhinder(Gujranwala). Time:- After the prayer of isha.
Lineage (Hasab-Nasab):-
He relates to syedna Abbass Alamdar(after the 42 steps) Son of the Amir-
ul-Monmineen Hazrat Ali (Karamallah wajhoo) the brother of syedna
Hazrat Imam Hussain martyr.(shahid-i-karbla oct 10,680).
More information can be taken from the tree of lineage (shajra-i-
nasab),given in this website (in urdu) at some other place , Hence his
family is called “Awan”(alvi).
The Awan’s claim that they are Alvi race come from Hazrat Ali (R.A) and his
wives that were 10except Hazrat Fatima Zahra the mother of Hazrat Imam
Hassan and Hussain, famous as martyr of Karbla in 680. Hazrat Fatima(d-
632) was cherished daughter of Hazrat Mohammad (S.A.W) and first wife
of Hazrat Ali( the brave lion of Allah).The chieftaincy”syed” is used specially
for the race of Hazrat Ali (R.A) is children Hassan & Hussain and further his
race.
Hazrat Shafi-ud-din and futher his valueable son Hazrat Ghulam Sarwar
Hussain,now the chief of Astana Alia (shafia sufia head-Quarter) Kala shah
kaku sharif near Lahore Pakistan,are called “Awan” i.e , Alvi .
Shykh-ul-jin-o-anas ,Hazrat Khawaja Hassan
Din Qadri(R.A) was a
prominent man of Islamic knowledge in his age.
He was qualified, authorized Shykh for the spiritual education of the
peoples and novices (Murids).In Qadri order , He was the king of beneficial
knowledge of shariah,tariqah and Hikmat(Medical). Except the men/
women his students were Jin also.His love and affections with the students
and novices (Murids) was can be ascertained from a “authentic statement
on the lips of the noteable people of the area” that it was his routine that
he could be seen after the prayer of Isha, slept towards the foot of the
students. Although Junior society ,it is know as “beneath of the dignity a
Islamic teacher”. At 2:00 am, Hazrat Hassan could in routine daily over the
walls of Madrassa (school) to perform Tahajid(midnight prayer)and come
to me here
Carrying Sikandarnama to take lecture. God blessed (P-4)that Hazrat Shafi-
ud-din was born in the some pious home.
EDUCATION;
In his childhood his parents expired ,during orphanage although he faced
so many problems and hardships yet it was Sunnah (of Rasoolullah s.a.w)
He started his primary education at Kotli Loharan and during his stay
here . He entered in the Naqshbandi spiritual chain by taking oath (Baiyt)
on the Pious hands of Hazrat Hafiz Abdul Krim(R.A). After that he gone to
Akbari Mandi Lahore and than to Saharan Pur (Now india U.P) for more
Islamic education and sufi practices . He completed his education in various
Madrassas (schools) in 20 years.He learnt Arabic,Persian,Gurmukhi,urdu,
Pashtu,Saraiki, Hindi,Sanskrit and English languages, where Punjabi was his
mother tongue.
After completing his send education which he reviewed after spending 20 years, he paid visit to see
the sacred face of is shykh Hazrat Hafiz Abdul Karim (Eidghah sharif Rawalpindi) and requested to
repeat the process of Baiyt i.e, taking the oath on the hands of his Master (Murshid) because Hazrat
Shafi-ud-din remained absent physically from the eyes of his Master (Murshid), Hazrat Hafiz Abdul
Karim (R.A) kept silence for a while and told ,“O! my son it was not become dry the seed which to
home sown. The tree will grow up and will be fruitful,to benefit the creature (mankind) of God.”
No need of revival of taking oath (Baiyt),stood up and embraced him with affections . He transferred
so many spiritual secrets from his chest to the chest of Hazrat Shafi-ud-din. He had permitted to
teach the people in a spiritual way and method in Lahore & Gujranwala area,Following the order of the
Murshid Hazrat Shafi-ud-din alvi chosen the place for Head- Quarter.
The mosque of kala shah kaku has been re-constructed in the present shape, as per statement
of Hazrat Mohammad Ramzan known as baba Masta, he spent his whole life under the umbrella of
Hazrat Mohammad Shafi & Hazrat Ghulam Sarwar Hussain Alvi and still working with the same
role.
Location;-The village kala shah kaku situated at 19 km Lahore/Gujranwala G.T road near kala shah
kaku interchange, at near the Ittehad chemicals(ICL). Hazrat Sahib came here before the partition
of India. The people of the village/area were rude and non-co-operative . There were so many
reptiles,insects creaping on the earth harmful for the human life, as such it was difficult to sleep on
the earth. Hazrat sahib has no luggage like bed ,clothes, and other necessities of life . (The mosque
was occupied by the british army,being used as shed of horror.Hazrat sahib cleaned the mosque
with his pious hands and started the worship of Allah almighty). The people of the area inspite of co-
operating with the friend of Allah,treated with joke and beheaved in a satirical manners.
An influential men misbeheaved with Hazrat sahib but hidden power from Allah has tortered the
(it was Eid day) woring door during the whole night. He rushed on next morning towards Hazrat
sahib to beg to be pardoned. +
He proclaimed” that he was wrong door” before all the people gathered in the mosque to
perform Eid prayer on that day . The God fearing virtuous Dervish forgiven for the sake of Allah In
the wake of this incident many people entered in the circle of Sufism order by taking oath (Baiyt) on
the hand of Hazrat sahib .
Embracing of Islam by the Non-Muslim;-
In the mosque , he started to educate the people( minor and major persons) his lectures were very
effective for the mankind. So many people become on the right path leaving the way, which leads to
Hell. Many people embraced “Islam” with clean and open heart . The list of the name of the persons
who converted from non-muslim to muslim is given here,which one found in the diary of Hazrat
Sahib ,which is old having miserable state and not readable at some places, because some pieces/pages
had been lost.
